Anxiety sucks, let’s just start there shall we. It never gets any easier and it happens when you least expect it to. Worst of all is how it leaves you feeling after. I have to point out though that anxiety can manifest in all sorts of ways. I get so anxious I don’t leave the house, I can have anxiety attacks when I’m out and want to come home or I can finally get the courage to say something at uni to get criticized for having an opinion, anxiety can strike and I’m in a bad, low mood all day. There are loads of ways in which you can deal with anxiety however and that’s something I really wanted to talk about over the next few months. I want to bring you all the different ways I deal with anxiety, starting with art. I love to draw, it doesn’t mean…

Mental heal day or week, it’s okay!

I write this post during my mental health week. It doesn’t matter what mental health condition you have, you will always want a mental day. A day where everything seems pointless, or you just can’t be bothered to do anything. This week seems to be my mental health week, I’ve had a productive month although this week seems to be sliding down hill. Well I am here to tell you it’s fine to have a mental health day or even a week. It’s a little easier for me being a student as I can take the time out needed. It will totally depend on your situation and how long you are able to take. Mental health days, just like sick days should in my opinion be compulsory for an employer to offer. Anxiety, “go for a walk!” ignorance and planning!

So I deal with mental health and anxiety on a daily basis and it is never easy. I hear the phrase “go for a walk” a lot. I am here to tell you today that it really isn’t as simple as just stepping outside and walking! When dealing with anxiety there are so many factors that need to be taken into account, one said factor is the thought of even going outside! For many people who suffer with anxiety the very notion of going outside might make them physically sick and terrified, I on more than one occasion have felt this way. So to tell them to “go for a walk” is in one word, ignorant! Sure if you can managed to get up and push past that wall that would normally stop you; great! I admire you for being able to do that because I know it isn’t easy.…

Three ways to tackle Anxiety in public!

So I like to discuss anxiety as you may have guessed with some of my previous posts such as, how to cope with daily anxiety. So let me talk to you about how I tackle public anxiety, panic attacks and anxiety when out and about happen often with me and over the years I have tried various ways to overcome it all, some worked and others failed, badly! I would just like to give my opinion on these fridget things. They don’t work. I know they are supposed to help cope with mental health and anxiety when outside but I feel it does the complete opposite. When in public…
