La Voix: A Drag act review.

La Voix, Amazing, stunning and all round super star. La Voix, You may recoignise the name from Britian’s Got Talent or the many shows she has done around the world. I however had never heard of her, nor had I ever seen a drag act in my life. Gay and 23 that is a bit dreadful, I was willing to give it a go though, I am so glad I took the plunge! I have to say as soon as I entered the room I could feel the atmosphere grow. Everyone was relaxed and at ease; the best atmosphere if you want my opinion. Again I had never been to a show like this so I had no idea what to expect. When La Voix came bursting into the room singing “Let It Go” from the iconic Frozen… Well it would be an understatement to say it was amazing. As…

Loft Lounge: Birmingham bar and restaurant review.

Loft Lounge, the perfect place to relax and unwind. The Loft Lounge. I have spent almost a week now in the gay village in Birmingham. The village is alive with of course gays but many clubs, pubs and restaurants. After a while though you may just want to relax and unwind, that is why I would suggest in a heart beat, the Loft Lounge. With over an hour to kill I needed somewhere to rest my feet and do a little work. I stumbled across the Loft Lounge which looked approachable and really relaxed, so as you do I decided to have a look inside; it hit the nail on the head when it came to what I was looking for. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm while soft toned and current music played in the background. All the staff there where friendly and happy to help. It also helps…

IloveYo: A milkshake wonderland review.

IloveYo, YoCo Renamed and rebranded! So as you may have guessed from my extensive collection of Greece, Zante and Argassi posts; we have been here before. We have our favourite spots and last year we found a lovely milkshake parlour called YoCo, you can see the review on lousnews if you want. Well we decided we had to go back and after arranging a trip to Zante town to visit the farmers market we just had to drop in. We indeed made our way after the market although had a shock once we got there, a face-lift is an understatement. YoCo is no more, ILoveYo has been resurrected in its place. Although the same structure has been kept to the shop and they still do amazing milkshakes and frozen yoghurt. So much more has been added. A small change would be the new tables and chairs outside, they fit well…

Celebrities, personal encounters; Wales.

Celebrity Encounters, who I met and when! Celebrities, So you may have noticed I go to a few Comic Conventions and meet a fair few. Well I wanted to tell you about some of the people I have met on my travels and if they really live up to their name, or if they are just a mean piece of work. That being said not a lot of celebrities I have met are horrible. They are normally really nice and polite. They are human after all and not everyone is nice. I will start by showing you a few of the fantastic people I met at Wales Comic Con. I meet all the celebrities although only a few I will have a picture with and really talk to and they are the ones I want to highlight! Gareth David-Lloyd, So I have wanted to meet Gareth for about 5 years…

Concerts, Music or a fashion statement?

Are concerts about the music or just about showing off? So I am pretty sure a lot of us love going to concerts. These days though are they all about the music, or are they just a fashion statement so that people can show off to their peers? I have been to a few concerts in the last year, Adele, Wicked, Busted and John Barrowman, the one thing that I have noticed above all else is the use of phones. People pay hundreds sometimes just for tickets to see their favourite bands and artists; so why do they stand there on their phones recording. In my mind they might as well be looking through the wrong end of a telescope. Take Busted for example, when they did some of their iconic songs the phones came out. They had Wheatus perform “Teenage Dirtbag” I had never seen so many phones in…
