Luxury Anxiety Comfort box, 2018 edition!

You may have seen my previous comfort box, I loved it! However I wanted to make a new one this year, mainly because I’d ran out of chocolate in the box and used up all the air freshener. If I’m honest I’m going to start making a new box every year, I think it’s a great thing to do. When I use it I’m grounded and can calm down and when I’m making the box I’m in the zone and not thinking about all the problems I have going on. What’s a comfort box exactly?? If you have no idea what a comfort box is then you should carry on reading! A comfort is something made up of everything you love! The idea of the box is to hold everything that you hold dear, stuff that makes you smile and laugh and brings back the memories of the good times.…

My Mental Health Diary ~ February 2018 Edition

Mental Health is bloody difficult and I’m not going to sugar coat anything! I’m not looking for sympathy or anything like that when I write these diaries. So please don’t be thinking that, at the end of the day having mental health conditions can be very isolating. A person can end up thinking they’re alone, no one cares and that no one wants to listen. A lot of the time I won’t tell people how I’m feeling because I feel like they don’t want to know or they don’t believe me and think I’m making things up. My blog is my safe place, it always has been and I’m hoping it carries on that way. So I wanted a place where I could talk about my mental health over the course of a month, sure I might not have much to say one month, but sure the next month I…

Stress, the complete biography!

Stress, I swear everyone goes through it now and again. It’s probably one of the most common diagnosed mental health conditions, along with depressions, which also sucks! Although stress is the most common, people aren’t always aware of the many ways in which is can manifest and trust me there are a fair few. I’m still learning about the many ways, although the hard way! I didn’t know the best way to do this post so I’m going to mix and match it. I’m going to do some lists and I’m going to explain a few of them in a little more detail. Why? Because not all of them need a long explanation and are self explanatory. You might recognize some of them and maybe have a little bingo card ready! Low energy, headaches and achy joints, upset stomach and constipation. Lack of sleep, too much sleep, eating too much…

Diagnosed OCD, What’s is all about, the facts!

Hello, welcome to my OCD post. Before I start I just want to run through a few things. I have diagnosed OCD. If you’re a person that likes everything neat and tidy all the time and get annoyed when it’s not tidy, you probably don’t have OCD. In fact, saying “I’m a little OCD” or “Tidy up, I have OCD” is a little bit insulting to people with OCD. My flat is a mess the most of times, it’s not always part of my OCD. That being said and out the way let’s talk a little more on OCD and what it really means. Obsessive Compulsory Disorder is just that, a obsessive nature. Trust me it sucks. I get obsessed about so much and it bugs the hell out of me,  the disorder also is known to get worse when a person is stressed or if they have other mental…

Combat stress with adult colouring books!

Stress can happen all the time, it doesn’t matter who you are. I deal with stress everyday and know a thing or two about battling it when I get the chance. You’ll find that most people who have diagnosed mental health as well will know the terrors that come with great amounts of stress, the more you have to deal with the more that it can effect your mental health conditions. You may have seen my post on the three ways that I deal with Anxiety? This is a little different though, there are loads of ways to combat stress and it would take me weeks and several hundred blog posts to talk about them all. I wanted to talk about one of the most effective ways that I use though. Adult colouring books. They have been around for a while now and personally I think they are so overlooked…
