3 ways I cope with Anxiety and Mental Health, 2017 round up!

So I have loads of ways that I deal with Mental Health and mainly Anxiety. I’ve wrote a few blog posts and I wanted to compile one blog post to talk about everything that I’ve wrote about so far this year, possible a few from previous years as well. I just feel that if they’re in one place it’s easier for someone to get all the help they need. Also it saves you from having millions of tabs open, unless you dig deeper and have a look at the full blog posts. Let’s kick it off shall we. 1, Anxiety Comfort Box You may have seen me talk about my comfort box, if you want to know more then click on the link above. I’ll explain briefly for now though. Find a box in your house, it doesn’t have to be too big because otherwise it’s going to be difficult…

Behavioural Personality Disorder BPD explained, top three common symptoms.

BPD, also known as Behavioral Personality Disorder is something that I suffer with personally. You may also hear it referred to as Emotional Personality Disorder or in short a mild form of Bipolar. I wanted to talk a little about BPD, I know you can find all the information needed on the mind charity page, I felt that it would be better to talk about it from a personal point of view. So BPD, there are quite a few symptoms related to the condition. I’m part of a few groups throughout social media and I see the same symptoms and issues being talked about often. These are the symptoms that I wanted to address. ~ Mood Swings. Mood swings are actually common in a lot of Mental Health Conditions, it’s a serious problem when it comes to BPD however. Moods swings can happen at any time and without warning which…

Phrases to avoid saying to people with mental health.

I suffer from Mental Health, something you may have picked up on if you read some of my posts. I have a whole section on Mental Health and anxiety actually so you should check that out. One thing I’m used to is people saying inappropriate stuff, offensive stuff and they don’t even know it. It’s even worse when they know what they’ve said and they don’t seem to care or they still think that they’re right. I mean what’s that all about. So I wanted to compile a list together, and turn it into a blog post. A list that will hopefully help someone not trip up on what they’re saying and make life a little easier for themselves, and because it helps people with Mental Health out a bit so they aren’t being hurt in the process. 1, It’s not just a symptom! I get so annoyed with people…

Melting away Anxiety with Spectrum Noir and Art!

Anxiety sucks, let’s just start there shall we. It never gets any easier and it happens when you least expect it to. Worst of all is how it leaves you feeling after. I have to point out though that anxiety can manifest in all sorts of ways. I get so anxious I don’t leave the house, I can have anxiety attacks when I’m out and want to come home or I can finally get the courage to say something at uni to get criticized for having an opinion, anxiety can strike and I’m in a bad, low mood all day. There are loads of ways in which you can deal with anxiety however and that’s something I really wanted to talk about over the next few months. I want to bring you all the different ways I deal with anxiety, starting with art. I love to draw, it doesn’t mean…

Mental heal day or week, it’s okay!

I write this post during my mental health week. It doesn’t matter what mental health condition you have, you will always want a mental day. A day where everything seems pointless, or you just can’t be bothered to do anything. This week seems to be my mental health week, I’ve had a productive month although this week seems to be sliding down hill. Well I am here to tell you it’s fine to have a mental health day or even a week. It’s a little easier for me being a student as I can take the time out needed. It will totally depend on your situation and how long you are able to take. Mental health days, just like sick days should in my opinion be compulsory for an employer to offer. Someone with a mental health condition is going to experience these days and an employer should cater for…
