Yummy chocolate round sponge cake!
So you may have seen my Slimming World recipes, what you might not know is I love to bake; everything. I have a huge passion for yummy treats and chocolate overall! I have made this cake several times and it never fails me. I decided it was time to share the recipe and let others enjoy what I have for years. Without further wait I introduce my chocolate sponge round cake.
Self raising flour, 230g
Coco powder, 110g
Castor sugar, 340g
Eggs, 6 large
1, Gather up all your ingredients and weigh them all individually. Start with adding all the dry ingredients into the bowl and then add the wet. You can then mix in a food mixer if you have one, if not grab a wooden spoon and get mixing. Pre-heat the oven to 190′.
2, You want the mixture to be nice and smooth, try to get rid of any lumps that are still in the bowl. If you have a round tin that can be un-clipped you don’t need to grease the tin. If you don’t have such tin use some baking parchment. Add all the mixture and make sure the mixture is even and smoothed out.
3, Put the tin in a pre-heated oven for 20-25 minutes. Once done leave to cool for 5 minutes before taking it out of the tin. Leave to cool for a further 10 minutes and then enjoy.
So there you have it, a quick and simple recipe that makes an amazing cake! Try to stick to the measurements when it comes to the ingredients because otherwise it may go a little wrong!
