I love a bit of DIY, even if I’m not very good at it. That doesn’t stop me from doing it and it’s the thought that counts. I wanted to give people something different this year which is why I went on the search for something unique, which would stand out on the day. I found these amazing, rustic boxes from ZacSmart!
I’m a rather creative person and I have to say these treasure boxes are amazing for that. I’ve been making a few hampers this year and although they are perfect for big things, they’re not so great when you have a few smaller gifts for people. I don’t want to just chuck them in a cardboard box so I decided to go with these treasure boxes.
The great thing about these treasure boxes is the fact that they can be upcycled as well. I wanted to spray some patterns onto the boxes, the only issue is I have no idea how to. That’s not a problem though, why? Well glad you asked. The people that I intend to give them to for Christmas full of little gifts are amazing at that kind of thing! Which means that not only do they have a gift inside the box but the box is a gift in itself.
I want to point out that this post is very Christmas orientated, the treasure boxes though can be used for so much more. As I suggested they are perfect for upcycle projects which means you can do so much with them. However you can keep them exactly how they are at the end of the day.
I’m going to be getting married in a couple of years and I can’t wait. There are so many things to factor in when getting married though, one thing is gifts for some of the party. I know right, getting gifts for other people on my own wedding day!! CRAZY!! These boxes are going to be perfect for holding said gifts though, it’s something to keep in mind. It also has to be said after looking round so many department stores, the boxes on Zacsmart are a lot cheaper!
Considering they are such great quality as well means they are versatile, they’re not going to break after a couple of weeks and look great anywhere, even more so if you spray them a different colour to fit in with the environment! I’d love to know what you’d do with the boxes if you had them. I’ve got a small and large treasure box and I’m pretty sure the large will be used for Christmas although keep an eye on my Instagram because I’m going to customize the smaller treasure box to suit me!
