As you get older you start to realise that appearance is everything. It doesn’t matter if people tell you it isn’t, because it is. The people who tell you that it doesn’t matter how you look, they’re the people who wake up in the morning ready to arrive at a photo shoot and look naturally stunning; not jealous or anything!
The great thing about the age we live in though is it really doesn’t matter what you wear, people love it. Everyone loves a nice bit of fashion and bold statements. What really a matters is the face, well face and hair to be exact. Putting the fact that everyone is rather vain aside I found something new, go me!
Blue Beards Revenge, I hope people like the name as much as I do; it rocks! So who are they? Blue Beards Revenge are a male grooming company with a wide range of stunning grooming products, products I got my hands on to test out so that I could show you fabulous people what they’re all about!
Grooming products, that’s what’s on sale here. Not only Grooming products though, I have my eye on a couple of bits that you’d be daft to stick on your face! Merchandise, I feel like I need these socks and not to mention this kick ass hoodie! A boy can dream right? They have a few more bits but I like them to most, shall we talk about what I actually got sent though and how much I love them?
Matt Clay, something I use often; has to be said though this stuff trumps it all. It comes in a nice stylish box and looks amazing. It doesn’t smell bad unlike other products I’ve had in the past and as the box states it’s paraben free which is great. The clay keeps your hair in place for the rest of the day and you don’t need to worry about it flying all over the place like I do every day on the way to university! Plus it’s only £9.99 and I swear the last one I got brought as double that!
The ultimate sea salt spray! First off before I even opened the box I have to say it looked amazing, they all do in fact. Just the type of thing you want to be opening on Christmas day! So the spray is supposed to give you a nice surfer look, giving your hair a nice tight hold. The only issue I found from the directions was that you had to blow dry your hair and style it, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a hairdryer. So I used it how I use all my products.
Pomade, just don’t pronounce it like me! Virgin alert, I’ve never used the stuff before in my life. I mean in general not just from Blue Beards Revenge! What can I say, I like it; I likes it a lot. It kept my hair in place giving it a certain shine, I didn’t even need to add hairspray which is saying something because I always use hairspray. Again no unpleasant smell either!
So all of the hair products, I loved them. Out of the three though I have to admit I loved the sea salt spray. The other two were great but the spray was easy to use and I didn’t have to get my hands messy like the others. I’d also like to point out that they are all £9.99. Which is actually really cheap when it comes to mens grooming products, retail these days in the shops you could be looking at double that for a equally decent product.
Taking care of the rest!
Big blue bar of soap. I love using hand soap still and I think a lot of people do, I mean you can get the soap dispensers that are supposed to be better for you but I just don’t think you can beat a hand bar of soap! I want to point out that soaps I have used in the past get really dry and meh after a few days, this one so far hasn’t which is great. A nice little gift and would make an excellent stocking filler or addition to a hamper for only £4.99!
Face Scrub. I love face masks, I have a post on a couple coming up actually so I couldn’t wait to try this! The texture is a little weird but I feel that might be the case when trying any new face mask/scrub. It feels clean which I love I mean how many products can you say you used that make you feel clean. I really love the scrub, sorry I’m not showing you a picture of me using it; I’m brave but not that brave. It’s only £9.99 as well so a nice little gift for any occasion.
So there you have it, a whole range of the Blue Beards Revenge products. I tried to find fault with the products although failed, for once failing felt good! I want to take this moment to point out a few things that I did like about the products though. They are manufactured in the UK, I love supporting UK companies and would advise anyone to do the same.
I would also like to point out something that you might be able to tell from the pictures, they look amazing. The design of the boxes and the products, pure gold. They look perfect and would easily make an amazing gift for any occasion, I wouldn’t mind getting some for Christmas as long as they had some socks wrapped along with them, darn I want them socks!!
Psst, they deserved the FHM Grooming award as well, something they proudly place on all their products and can be seen on their website. Ohh, I found something I’d change, I’d like the big bar of man soap to be a little bigger; after all it’s called the big bar! Other than that I can’t think of anything else sorry.
So there you have it, Blue Beards Revenge. If you can’t be bothered to buy a couple of the products and make your own little hamper, although I would suggest doing so! You can buy their very own already made up gift sets that actually look quite nice. All you got to do is wrap it up and give it to the special someone at Christmas!
