La Voix: A Drag act review.

La Voix, Amazing, stunning and all round super star.

La Voix, You may recoignise the name from Britian’s Got Talent or the many shows she has done around the world. I however had never heard of her, nor had I ever seen a drag act in my life. Gay and 23 that is a bit dreadful, I was willing to give it a go though, I am so glad I took the plunge!

I have to say as soon as I entered the room I could feel the atmosphere grow. Everyone was relaxed and at ease; the best atmosphere if you want my opinion. Again I had never been to a show like this so I had no idea what to expect. When La Voix came bursting into the room singing “Let It Go” from the iconic Frozen… Well it would be an understatement to say it was amazing.

As soon as she entered you could feel the atmosphere change. Everyone was excited and ready for a fun night ahead. Me however had no idea what would be in store for the night, I was however ready. Throughout the night she sung some amazing numbers, my favourite would have to be “I Put A Spell On You” which we should all know and love from the hit film “Hocus Pocus!”.

I was a little nervous when she started going around the room talking to people, the anxiety kicked right in. When she came over to talk to me and my friend, all dread dissipated. I felt relaxed and comfortable which is not easy to do in a room of around 50 people. Now I have to add that people need to be aware of their surroundings.

La Voix and myself. Not the best picture I know!

A group of men came in around half way through and decided to stand in the middle of the room and blocked everyone’s view behind them. It isn’t difficult to look around you and help everyone enjoy the show!

Moan over. I have to say La Voix may be one of the best drag acts around and a dam good singer as well. I have to say though she is one funny woman, at many different stages she had me laughing on the edge of my seat; falling over into the hunk next to me wouldn’t have been a bad thing though. It was however amazing to meet La Voix at the end and get a photo with her, no matter how bad I may look!

I would recommend that if you are in a area that has La Voix doing a show, go and see her. I would easily go and see her again in a heartbeat and I would happily pay the ticket price for the opportunity. I have heard some drag acts can be rude and come across like bullies picking on people; not La Voix!
