Dr Bronner’s Eco Review

Products gifted for review. Opinions are my own.

I recently got sent some Dr Bronner’s bar soaps and I have to say, they’re very versatile. You can wash your face, body and hair with them although I won’t lie, I just kept them for my hands because I use my own body wash and hair care products that are targeted for my sensitive skin.

I was able to try out three Dr Bronner’s soap bars so I can only speak for them but I liked them enough to write this post and that says something because if I don’t like a product, I don’t waste my time talking about them. Take a look at the Dr Bronner’s Website for more of their product range.

Who Are Dr Bronner’s?

Dr. Bronner’s is an American company known for its organic and eco-friendly personal care products, particularly their famous liquid and bar soaps. Founded in 1948 by Emanuel Bronner, a third-generation master soap maker, the company has a strong emphasis on ethical sourcing, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility.

Key Aspects of Dr. Bronner’s:

  • Multi-Use Soaps: Their flagship products, the Castile soaps, are known for their versatility and can be used for everything from body wash to household cleaning.
  • Organic and Fair Trade Ingredients: Dr. Bronner’s uses certified organic and fair trade ingredients, ensuring ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.
  • Eco-Friendly: Committed to environmental sustainability, they use biodegradable formulas and 100% post-consumer recycled packaging.

Dr. Bronner’s is widely recognised for its high ethical standards and commitment to producing natural, multipurpose products that are gentle on the skin and the planet. I love a brand that are affordable, versatile, eco-friendly and work well which is exactly what you’re getting with Dr Bronner’s.

Dr Bronner’s Soap Products

Dr Bronner’s has a wide selection of soap products on their website with various flavours and purposes. They have liquid and bar soaps as well so you can find something to suit your needs. I’ve not tried the liquid soaps so I’m unable to comment on them.

Dr Bronner’s Castile Soap Bars

I tried three of the Dr Brooner’s soap bars and was very impressed. They’re affordable, it didn’t leave my hands dried out and work well with sensitive skin. Take a look at the soap bars I got to try below.

Pure-Castile Bat Soap – Peppermint: The Dr Brooner’s peppermint soap bar has a strong but not overpowering peppermint smell that stays on your hands for a long period of time. It works well and doesn’t dry out the hands.

Pure-Castile Bat Soap – Almond: I really liked this soap, the smell isn’t overpowering and is very subtle. If you have a nut allergy you should of course avoid the Dr Bronner’s almond soap but it works great with delicate skin.

Pure-Castile Bat Soap – Citrus: This is probably my favourite out of the three. I love citrus in my beauty products and this one had a lingering scent that will stick around for hours while protecting your skin. It’s the one I’d recommend the most and it’s great for sensative and delicate skin.

I did find that the soap bars last forever so I use them in rotation otherwise I woul have had to of waited months until I could talk about them and that’s no good for anyone.

Dr Bronner’s Review

Overal I really liked the Dr Brooner’s soaps that I got to try. They worked well on my delicate skin. They’d be great for people who like to go on backpacking adventures as they’re small, easily portable, affordable and can wash you head to toe with ease.

Hopefully, I’ll try more of their products in the future and would love to get my hands on their liquid soaps to talk about them a little more but the Dr Bronner’s soap bars that I’m using are going to last well into the next year and that just speaks for their longevity.
