I’m starting to think that all households must have an air fryer by law, like fire alarms. We have an air fryer and it’s the Ninja foodi dual air fryer one and I have to say, I love it! We keep doing so much in the air fryer like this air fried pepperoni pizza, most of the time though we forget to take pictures and then have to make the recipe again and again, I really don’t mind that though if they’re super yummy!

If you’re looking to make air fryer pizza, this one has to be one of my favourites. I’m not normally a big pepperoni fan but if you get the mild pepperoni from Aldi, it’s not that bad. Of course, you can cover it in cheese and add other ingredients like peppers to give it maximum flavour as I do. Air fried pizza wasn’t even something that was on my radar before but I’m so glad it is now!

So if you’re looking for the best air fryer pizza recipe out there, you’ve found it. This is quick, easy and really fun to make. Now, I know air fryers aren’t that big so this is a mini pizza in air fryer form I suppose. They’re great if it’s only a couple of people and it really helps you in keeping your portion sizes down and staying healthy.

Air Fryer Pizza Help

So there are various things you’re going to want to do so that you gave the best air fried pizza. I know a lot of people like to use the silicone inserts in their air fryer but I tend to only use them on certain items that are more liquid form. Instead for this recipe, you’re going to be using baking parchment under your pizza, this is to make sure it doesn’t get stuck to the air fryer trays and that you can easily put it in your air fryer and also take it out.

When you’re making your air fryer Pepperoni pizza I’d suggest not putting too much topping on it. The more you put on means the longer it will take to air fry, it will also mean that the top comes out a little burnt when the centre is perfectly cooked. If you’re looking to make a pretty pizza for Instagram purposes, for example, put less topping so it can look crisp and fancy.

You’ll also want to check the base of the pizza as well, sometimes it can be a little undercooked depending on how many toppings you have. If this is the case I would suggest cooking it a little longer but at a lower heat so it cooks the base but doesn’t char the Pepperoni topping.

So of course it all depends on what air fryer you actually have as to how you’re making your air fryer pizza. The air fryer that I use to make pizza has rectangle inserts which is why my pizza is rectangular with some fun crust, you can always stuff cheese into the crust if you wanted. However, I know that some people have round air fryers so their pizza is going to be round. Whichever air fryer you have will depend on the shape and size, I would recommend a decent pizza cutter for the job.

This air fryer pepperoni pizza recipe will make you two rectangle pizzas, if you buy a big enough pack of pizza dough and have the ingredients you might be able to make even more. Just remember not to eat too much because you don’t want to turn into an actual pizza yourself.
