Creme Egg Rocky Road Recipe

Creme egg rocky road is one of my most made recipes when it comes to easter. They’re really easy to make and you won’t have loads of dishes in the sink by the time you’re done! I love making these with my younger brother because it’s a child friendly recipe, you’re not using sharp knives and everyone can get stuck in and make a mess. You won’t need to turn the oven on either so you’re not spending on electricty and we all know how expensive that is these days!

Creme Egg Rocky Road Recipe Tips

If you’re making this recipe then I have some tips for you. This creme egg rocky road recipe is easy to make but if you want to make it even easier or tasty, take a look at the tips for making creme egg rocky road below.

  • Don’t overcook the marshmallows. You want them to be soft and gooey, not hard and chewy.
  • If you don’t have graham cracker crumbs, you can use crushed cookies or pretzels.
  • Melting white chocolate and drizzling it on top can make the rocky road so much tastier!
  • You can add other mix-ins to your rocky road, such as nuts, dried fruit, or sweets such as gymmy bears.
  • Store your rocky road in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Otherwise, it can go a little stale.
  • Use a silicone mould instead of a baking tray so it’s easier to get out and you don’t have to buy baking parchment!
  • Use a mixture of dark and milk chocolate to give it a smoother chocolatey taste.

Mini Creme Egg Rocky Road Recipe

Does it matter if you use full size creme eggs or mini creme eggs for this creme egg rocky road recipe? No, you can use either if you want, personally I like to get a little messy and break up the full size creme eggs although if you’re looking to make the recipe easier to make you can just throw in mini creme eggs and not have to break them up and that way you can break them when you cut the rocky road up.

If you’re looking for one of the most easiest creme egg rocky road recipes, I have it here. There’s two steps, you’ll have it in the fridge within 30 minutes and you’ll wish you made it sooner!

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Put all your ingredients in a mixing bowl.

You’ll want to make sure you break the digestive biscuits up, not too much though as you can’t do much with crumbs when it comes to making an easter rocky road.

You want to make sure you transfer the chocolate quick before it starts to set in your microwave bowl. A silicon mould will mean it’s easier to get your rocky road out when it’s set and cut it up. You can pick how big you make the chunks.
